Must be raked and covered with small green tarp.
All areas around the bases that are scooped out from sliding base runners must be filled in and leveled. Rake infield and rake parallel to the grass cut so as not to form "lips" on the grass.
There will be NO BATTING PRACTICE on any grass surface, e.g. up against the backstop. Hitters taking batting practice on the field must be standing on a dirt surface. In addition, batting practice pitchers (to include coaches) must be standing on a dirt surface or use a green mat if you have to move closer. The green mats are kept in the chalk room and should be used during batting practice by pitchers and hitters. NO SOFT TOSS into any of the fencing with baseballs.
Keep the dugouts as clean as possible. DO NOT let players with muddy cleats bang them up against the dugout wall. Require that everyone pick up their own trash. When you see the dugout trash can full, empty and get a new bag out of the concession stand.
DO NOT use a broom to sweep out any water off the infield. Sweeping water cause more problems.
DO NOT dig up the ground with your cleats.
NO soft toss on the playing field. Use the screen outside the fence or the batting cage.
We are very lucky to have such nice facilities, please do your share to help maintain them.
